In order to support enterprises and stakeholders to implement the Due Diligence System (DDS) and the Chain of Custody Standard (PEFC CoC), within the framework of the project “Forestry and Trade for Development in ASEAN” funded by UNREDD and implemented by PEFC in Southeast Asian countries, VFCO has developed a toolkit for implementation of Due Diligence System (DDS) in Vietnam. On the other hand, through the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), VFCO has also translated into Vietnamese the document PEFC GD 2001: 2022 – Chain of Custody of Forest and Tree Based Products and Related Standards – Guidance for use. VFCO will continue to coordinate with international organizations, experts and stakeholders to develop guidance documents to assist forest owners and enterprises in implementing certification under Vietnam Forest Certification Scheme (VFCS/PEFC).
