Training course on PEFC CoC Standard

In 2 days, April 4th and 5th, 2022, VFCO and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) coordinated to organize the “International Online Training Course on Chain of Custody Standards (CoC)”. There were 34 participants who are experts and members of certification organizations from many countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Japan, etc. The content of the training course includes: PEFC trademarks rule (PEFC ST 2001:2020), Chain of Custody of Forest and Tree Based Products – Requirements (PEFC ST 2002:2020) and Requirements for Certification Bodies operating Certification against the PEFC International Chain of  Custody Standard (PEFC ST 2003:2020).

Trainees were provided with sufficient information and documents before the training to understand the basic requirements of the training content. During the training, in addition to the theory part, the trainees were required to perform group exercises, situation analysis and discussion. At the end of the course, each student took part in a transparent and fair test, in accordance with international practices, to be certified and granted a certificate of course completion when meeting the requirements. The results of the survey and evaluation of the training course showed that the trainees had positive feedback and appreciated the quality and organization of the training course.
