On March 28, 2022, the Vietnam Forest Certification Office (VFCO) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) jointly organized a Workshop on the application of ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. There were 54 participants who were representatives of national governing bodies (NGBs), accreditation bodies (Abs), certification bodies (CBs), certification experts from South East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar.

The workshop introduced Vietnam Forest Certification Scheme, BoA Accreditation scheme for Certification Bodies participating in VFCS scheme  and shared experiences in accrediting forest certification organizations under VFCS /PEFC according to ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. The discussion section attracted the attention of the delegates. Many questions and issues were raised, shared and heatedly discussed.

VFCO continuously organizes training and capacity building activities for Certification bodies, experts and stakeholders on the implementation of forest certification services under the VFCS/PEFC system. Information about training courses and events is regularly updated on the website of VFCO.
