Vietnam Forest Certification Office (VFCO) has issued two implementation guidelines for the PEFC Chain of Custody (PEFC CoC/DDS), specifically designed for enterprises engaged in the production, processing, and trade of wood chips and wood pellets.
The guidelines are developed based on the PEFC ST 2002 standard and adapted to the production practices and raw material sources in Vietnam. The main contents include: (1) Establishing a management system; (2) Controlling input materials and declaring output products; (3)Implementing the Due Diligence System (DDS); (4) Conducting internal audits;
(5) Keeping records for certification assessment.
In addition, a summary version of the guidelines has been developed to help enterprises – especially management staff – quickly understand and effectively apply the PEFC CoC/DDS requirements in practice.
