On 16 January 2026, the Vietnam Forest Certification Office (VFCO), in coordination with the Da Nang City Forest Protection Department, organized a workshop to disseminate guidance on the implementation of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) in Da Nang City.

The workshop was attended by more than 40 participants, representing the Forest Protection Department, customs authorities, market surveillance agencies, crop production authorities, wood processing enterprises, forestry companies, cooperatives, and other stakeholders involved in the timber and rubber supply chains. The event was part of a series of EUDR dissemination activities organized by VFCO in key localities, aiming to support relevant stakeholders in effectively understanding and implementing the EUDR.

At the event, a representative of the Da Nang City Forest Protection Department shared the city’s plan for implementing the EUDR. VFCO also delivered presentations providing an overview of the EUDR, guidance on EUDR implementation, and an introduction to the EUDR Compliance digital platform, which enables the provision of plot-level information, forest encroachment checks, and product traceability back to harvesting plots throughout the supply chain. Participants highly appreciated the workshop, noting its practical value in helping authorities, enterprises, and other stakeholders better understand the EUDR, particularly the application of digital management tools in adapting to EUDR requirements.

VFCO will continue to accompany and provide technical support to authorities, enterprises, and relevant stakeholders to support effective implementation and compliance with the EUDR.
